Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the NetOpAccounting platform and services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

1. The Service

NetOpAccounting provides cloud accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, tax-preparation, and financial-data aggregation tools. We may add, change, or remove features over time. The Service is provided for business and professional use.

2. Accounts & security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Multi-factor authentication is available and is required before connecting a financial institution.
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use or security incident at security@netopaccounting.com.

3. Connected financial accounts (Plaid)

If you connect a bank or financial account, you authorize us and our provider Plaid Inc. to access account and transaction information on your behalf, subject to our Privacy Policy and Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. You may disconnect any account at any time.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: attempting to access data you are not authorized to access; reverse-engineering or disrupting the Service; uploading unlawful content; or using the Service to violate any applicable law or third-party right.

5. Customer data & ownership

You retain ownership of the data you submit ("Customer Data"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit Customer Data solely to provide and improve the Service. We process Customer Data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Payments

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Fees are described at sign-up or in your order. Except as required by law, fees are non-refundable. You authorize recurring charges for subscription plans until cancelled.

7. Professional & tax disclaimer

The Service provides tools to assist with accounting and tax preparation but does not constitute accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of your records and filings and should consult a qualified professional. Calculated figures and prepared forms are provided for your review and verification.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the Service. Upon termination, data handling follows our Data Retention & Deletion Policy.

9. Warranties & liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, NetOpAccounting is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
